There are twenty stops on the Frankfort Public Art Tour with more than twenty exquisite works of public art. On this website you will find photo galleries of artwork as well as galleries that show the process of the Kentucky State University communications students conducting oral history interviews with the artists, curators and historians. Over fifty hours of interviews are now archived at the Kentucky Historical Society documenting Frankfort’s Public Art. The interviews are excerpted for each stop so you can hear the voices of the artists themselves talking about their artwork. The voices of the curators and historians of the public art speak to the significance of the art and why it is important to preserve them.
